The annual award is given to the winemaker who produces the largest number of high-ranking wines from more than 10,000 wines tasted over the past 12 months by the magazine's expert judging panel. Maxwell, who started as a vineyard hand and tractor driver when Greystone opened in 2007, said he had to double check the results because the vineyard was up against several large wineries. Dom attended the Awards ceremony in Auckland on the 8th November and was awarded his Trophy.
Dom is the winemaker of Greystone wines which he has won the award for. With Greystone taking over the reins at Muddy Water, this means Dom will also be responsible for theses wines as well from here on in.
Well Done Dom You Made Us Proud!!!!!!
