Muddy Water Winery - Waipara, New Zealand

Latest News at Muddy Water

We have recently bottled our stunning 2010 Pinot Noirs, Chardonnay and Pinotage.  Truly some wines to look forward to when released in a few months.  In the meantime the rich 2009's are still available and starting to open up beautifully.  Slowhand and Hare's Breath are prime candidates to put away in your cellar for coming years to come.

Three snow events over Winter have us hoping the extreme cold weather might be over.  Miranda and the team are at the end of pruning and the exciting time of bud burst has begun.  With bud burst comes risk of Spring frost - Miranda and Mike have had their fair share of early mornings lately.

Snow 2011

While we are absorbed in our own season here in Waipara Valley we have one eye on Burgundy and California where Sylvain and Amy are currently working their 2nd harvest of the year.  A wonderful way to see more of the world and to learn more about the heartbreak grape - Pinot Noir.  We look forward to seeing them back at Muddy Water for the 2011 - 2012 growing season.
